Bible Teaching classes: What options do you have?

When you go to our class chart, you'll find many options for the Sunday morning Bible Teaching hour at 9:30 a.m. Here are descriptions of some of those classes which may not be obvious by name at first glance:

Crossroads: A Sunday morning class for college students. Meets in Room 609A.

Common Ground: Not only for young single adults, but some young single parents and married adults with children, too. Studying the Bible with a strong connection to current events and life as we know it. An eclectic mix for contemporary life studies. The group also has weeknight book studies. Studies from the Lectionary.*  Meets in Room 504B.

Young Adult Division (or “YAD"): For married couples mostly in their 20's through 40's. Biblical study on what would Jesus say about current issues and topics. Currently studying scripture based on the sermon series from the life of David. Meets in Rooms 217-233.

Celebration Class: For parents of teensMeets in the Cafe area, Room 101.

Adult 4 - For ages 46-55. Meets in Room 615.

  • Evangelistic DVD series - That the World May Know

Adult 5 - For ages 56-62. Meets in Room 509.

Adult 6 - For ages 63-68. Meets in Room 506. The Book of Matthew

Adult 7 - For ages 46-55. Meets in Room 407. The Promise of New Hope: Studies in Ezekiel

Adult 8/Saints Alive - For ages 76-82. Meets in Room 401. Studies in the Book of Isaiah, with Biblical applications for senior adult life.

INTERGENERATIONAL:

Intergenerational Class: Adults from college age up through the generations are invited to gather as family to study the Word of God. At times, even grade school children have been involved in our Sunday morning time of fellowship and discussion. Our love of God and our love for one another together create a bond of trust and fidelity that cannot be understood or measured by the standards of the world. Come join us. We are currently studying the Book of Mark. Meets in Room 601.

Irwin Class: A group of caring and loving adults who come together to study God’s word for growth in their spiritual walk with Christ. Every three months, the class studies a different book of the Bible, currently studying the Gospel of Luke. Meets in Room 340.

Truth Quest: A Sunday morning Bible Study class for adults of all ages, married/divorced/single. Our class includes adults from different backgrounds and situations in life who are interested in inclusive fellowship and relevant Bible Study. Currently studying Proverbs and Psalms. Meets in Room 333.

SINGLE ADULTS:

Common Ground: See above.
Mizpah (under 50): Study of the books Ephesians and Colossians. Meets in Room 609B.
Koinonia (over 50):
Discussing what Jesus would say about current issues. Meets in Room 402.
Agape: Single parents (all ages):
Studies from the Lectionary*. Meets in Room 337.

WOMEN:

Women's Bible Study Class: Comprised of women of all ages, with an emphasis on spiritual and social issues facing women in an increasingly hectic world. Class size is small, coffee is fresh and the conversation is flowing. Weekly e-mail updates on class discussion are provided to the group. All women welcome! Laughter, learning and love await you. Currently studying the book Every Day Deserves a Chance by Max Lucado. Meets in Room 504A.


*Lectionary Study: Weekly texts from Old Testament, Psalms, New Testament and Gospels studied worldwide in 3-year cycles.
